Education
The Centre Nantais de Sociologie is a support and supervision structure for master and doctoral studies.
The PhD, which lasts from 3 to 6 years, allows students to obtain the degree of doctor after defending their thesis. The PhD is the highest ranking academic qualification.
The prerequisites for enrolment in a doctoral program are: a Master's degree or equivalent (bac +5), a thesis director attached to a laboratory accredited by the doctoral school, a thesis subject, and funding (linked to the thesis or from personal resources equivalent to 80% of the minimum wage).
Find out more about the doctoral programme : becoming a PhD student (entering the PhD programme, financing your PhD, registering for the 1st year, re-registering for a PhD, defending your PhD).
