The CENS in brief :

The Centre Nantais de Sociologie (UMR 6025 CENS), founded in 1998, is the only sociology laboratory in the Académie de Nantes and the Pays de la Loire region. CENS is a joint research unit: it is attached to Nantes Université and, since 2015, to the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS).

It is directed by Romuald Bodin, university professor in sociology, and co-directed by Séverine Misset, associate professor in sociology at Nantes Université.
